I took my 2000 Honda Accord in for transmission repair in August of 2011 after being quoted a ridiculously outrageous price for a new transmission from the Honda dealership. I also needed to have some brake work done and an engine mount replaced. I received estimates from a few other places before taking my car to Aamco. I found both Jeff & Jim to be incredibly courteous and professional. The place is very clean and the waiting area comfortable. They reassured me that they could handle the repair and gave me an estimate that I considered very reasonable. They were able to complete all of the work that I needed for way under the price that Honda had quoted me for the transmission repair alone. The work was completed sooner than anticipated and my car has been running great ever since! I also liked that they offer extended warranties on the work they do if you want additional peace of mind for a costly repair. I will not hesitate to take my car there from now on for all regular service and other repairs.
It is indeed rare to find a business that is honest and has integrity in now a days and when you find somebody or some place of business, not only does it surprise you but also makes you feel good that there still are people who believe in doing business with pride and honesty. In my case, I was told by a local transmission shop and a dealer that my transmission was shot and needed to be rebuilt or would have to be replaced with a new one. Truly and as a last resort I called AAMCO and talked to the owner himself and he offered to look at the car for free. After checking the transmission he called and said that the transmission itself was not shot that it was ok but it just needed a change in electrical surges and tweak to computer. The total cost of $450.00 vs over $2000 from the other transmission shop and my estimate from the dealer I took it to was over $4000. I could not afford that. I was so thrilled and thanked god that I made the call to this AAMCO. Otherwise I don't know what I would have done. So thankful to be pleasantly surprised by the level of service from this AAMCO and I will take my vehicle back for any other services that I may require in the future.
Brought my car here upon recommendation of my best friend. I know nothing about car repair but she said they were honest and did great work and would help me finance if I needed to. They gave me a great price and finished the job in less time than I was expecting. I love driving my Spider and now it is a pleasure to cruise around Sarasota.
I took my car here, the AAMCO location on Clark road in south Sarasota, for a full rear brake job. I knew I needed new rotors and pads. The guys working there looked over my car and did the work as expected, at a reasonable price, without trying to upsell me on any other work.
Top-notch service! While vacationing with my family in Siesta Key, one of the tires on our Enterprise rental car developed a slow leak. Since Enterprise didn't have another full-size vehicle available, they suggested we take it to the nearest AAMCO on Clark Road for a repair. From the moment we arrived, Stacy, Chad, and even their friendly dog, Tater, made the experience as easy and stress-free as possible. Stacy and Chad were welcoming, personable, and genuinely cared about getting us back on the road quickly. In about an hour, the tire was repaired, and we were headed back to the beach. I'll admit, I always thought AAMCO only worked on transmissions—but I was wrong. They're a full-service repair shop, and they earned my respect. If you're in the Siesta Key area and need automotive service, I highly recommend the AAMCO on Clark Road. Stacy and Chad will take great care of you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars from me!
This AAMCO location was extremely helpful! They were able to get me in for an appointment next day and diagnose my vehicle. Would definitely recommend them.
Good communication from start to finish, and even with unforeseen difficulties had my transmission rebuilt and my pickup back to me in a week. Chad and Stacy are friendly and easy to talk to, and were incredibly helpful and informative throughout the entire process.
Can't say enough of how upfront honest and trustworthy these people very well run everything is explained tou you in black and white and prices are excellent totally recommended
This my second time at Chad and Stacy’s shop and I feel like we are old friends. They got me in quickly to diagnose my 2011 CRV air conditioner issue. They explained every step of the process and the estimate of work. I would recommend their business to my family and friends.
